    Thanks for the link to the post about Facebook. While it’s true the title seems negative it’s really about deciding if Facebook is the right network for what you’re trying to accomplish with social media. A fan site can be a wonderful promotional tool or a time suck with basically no business value.

Some people are a bit too excited about Facebook/Twitter/insert other site here, to the point of having unrealistic expectations. Although I love social media, I believe posts like yours are refreshing eye-openers.
