Are You Against Human Rights?
“Against human rights? Are you crazy? No one can be against that!”
I know, I know. The question in the title sounds absurd. But someone please tell me: if it’s so obvious that no one can be against human rights—otherwise that question wouldn’t look absurd at all—then why are human rights disrespected all the time, all over the world? Why do we need a Human Rights Day to remind us of the very existence of human rights?
In case you’re wondering, here’s the link to The Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
And so you can’t say this post has nothing to do with this blog’s usual topics, here’s a quick suggestion: go to Google AdWords Keyword Tool, enter “human rights” in the keyword box and take a look at the search volume numbers. Pretty high, huh?
Maybe all is not lost. At least, now I know many people out there use Google to research various topics directly related to human rights issues. It probably means they aren’t indifferent to the subject, which is better than nothing, although far from enough.
If you follow my suggestion above, why don’t you also take the time to write a blog post on related topics? You can even get some free promotion for your article if you trackback to December 10 – Show YOUR Support for Human Rights.
